Once Peace Corps decided to leave Gabon in 2004, returned volunteers lost a natural way to keep in touch with news of the program and the country. Friends of Gabon has helped to fill the gap with newsletters that feature stories collected about what's been happening in Gabon and in the Peace Corps world as well as stories about our time in Gabon and since Gabon. In addition, there is a Friends of Gabon Facebook group and a Twitter feed.
